Why work with me

I am not a vet who stumbled into nutrition. I am a veterinary microbiologist and immunologist who has spent years studying the biological mechanisms behind chronic disease in animals.

My MSc from the Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph and my PhD from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan were both in veterinary microbiology. I have published peer-reviewed research and hold a patent in vaccine development. I founded RawChoice in 2016 because I needed a way to put the biology I was studying into the bowls of real dogs.

I understand the science at a level that most practitioners do not have the training to access. And I have spent years translating that science into plain language that dog owners can actually act on.

More than anything, I understand Rachel. The dog owner who has done everything right, gone to every appointment, tried every recommended protocol, and still cannot get her dog comfortable in her own skin. The one who knows, instinctively, that the answer has not been found yet.

That feeling is correct. The answer usually has not been found yet. Because the right question has not been asked.
